GreenHeart™ is part of the team Transforming Historic Stambaugh to Luxury Hotel

Downtown Youngstown’s historic Stambaugh Building is starting to look more like a hotel. Windows are installed and drywall is up throughout the building, the rooms are built and a model guest room is complete.

A perfect example of Restoration and Adaptive Reuse of the Historic Stambaugh, located at 44 East Federal Plaza in Youngstown Ohio, was originally completed in 1907. The twelve-story, neo-classical revival building was designed by Albert Kahn of Detroit and financed by John and George Stambaugh.

The 125-room DoubleTree by Hilton hotel. will open soon with renovated rooms brought to life with natural light and a unique view of downtown Youngstown. Greenheart Companies is in the final stages of the window restoration.

“The views are spectacular,” said Brian Angelilli, president for GreenHeart™. “It’s spectacular,” he said. “It’s exciting to see the city and our area from that perspective

The DoubleTree will have two food options on the first floor: a steak house and an Italian bistro and wine cellar. There also will be a coffee shop and bank.

Other amenities include a fitness center, conference spaces and a second-floor lounge overlooking the central business district. A rooftop bar will open later in 2018.

Stay tuned for the Grand Opening!
